Inmarsat offers global voice and high-speed data connectivity to land-based users, through BGAN terminals which are about the size of a laptop. With FleetBroadband Inmarsat delivers the same capabilities to maritime customers.

EDC as a registered Inmarsat Service Provider (ISP 8271) has been offering Inmarsat services since early 1996, and has officially been appointed by Inmarsat as a PSA (Point of Service Activation).  As Inmarsat accredited service provider European Datacomm has direct access to Inmarsat Partner support, training and documentation and as a PSA (PSA 3080), EDC is contracted to Inmarsat to accept and to process applications for Inmarsat terminals directly into the Inmarsat networks databases.

EDC is also licenced as an Accounting Authority (BE10) by the Belgian Regulatory Authority BIPT.
